Brendhan Lovegrove was born in
Switzerland, but changed the backdrop of cuckoo clocks and mountains
to that of sheep and more sheep when he moved to New Zealand as a
little boy. He had a successful career in cricket until 1993 when he
decided to declare, and try his hand at the relatively easy life of
Stand- Up Comedy.
His manic
physical presence combined with a sureness of delivery and material
that can, at once, be described as verging on the psychotic side of
human nature, has delighted and indeed frightened, audiences
throughout New Zealand.
Brendhan has now come to the UK to
hone his comedy skills, and show us exactly why he is New Zealand's'
best comedian.
His TV credits include "Live At
Jongleurs" for UKGold/ITV and countless spots on New Zealand's'
foremost stand up show "Pulp Comedy". Brendhan has just achieved
another first, his is the first Kiwi to ever get a paid spot at
London's' Comedy Store.
