Ron Vaudry is the thinking man's
comedian, intelligent, witty and sardonic. A satirical genius
teetering precariously at the edge of comedy, he guides audiences
through a series of hilarious, yet thought provoking political and
social observations.
Ron got the comic bug when he had the
opportunity to perform on stage for the Jerry Lewis Joke-a-thon
in Montreal, 1979. Performing a 12 hour set from noon to midnight got
him hooked and he has since performed on various television shows in
Canada, America and the UK.
A favourite at both the Edinburgh
Festival Fringe and the Just For Laughs International Comedy
Festival in Montreal, Ron has parlayed his standup success into
headlining appearances at major comedy clubs on several continents.
Cynical, angry and always controversial, Ron is truly a talent to be
savoured.
Reviews:
'As hard-boiled and urban as any native
New Yorker.' The Scotsman, Edinburgh
'Biting, sometimes cynical and almost
always angry, he's mimicked but rarely mastered.' The Sun, Ottawa
'His rapier wit and existential angst
shine through in his act like a dark beacon from hell. NOW
Magazine, Toronto
'He has about as much vulnerability as a
porcupine on amyl nitrate. Vaudry is funny and fun to watch.' EYE
