After adverse criticism of her first
ever album release It Ain't Easy Being Easy, Tina C.
drew inspiration from early feminist role model Tammy Wynette and went
on to record her 1996 number one smash album No Dick’s As Hard As
My Life. Thanks to the
record-breaking sales of her anthemic single - Course I Want You
For Your Body (I Got A Mind Of My Own), Tina is now hailed as a
role model for ballsy women everywhere, “We ladies in Nashville today
are a whole new breed. We only wear short skirts and sing songs about
being mistreated by men because we want to.” Tina’s come a long way
since her early life growing up with her 17 brothers and sisters in
Open Throat Holler, Tennessee. Tina has enjoyed a glittering career
but not without the darker moments that this height of fame often
brings. Recent album releases have reflected a new emotional maturity,
particularly 1997s quadruple platinum selling Complete and Utter
Country.
Tina C is concerned that poor
President Bush is getting such unfair press, and so has decided to
take matters in hand.
Torment, abuse, persecution,
humiliation: there isn't one of them that Tina C hasn't experienced on
her journey to the top, so who could be better to lead her country
towards democracy and freedom for all.... freedom for all Americans
that is.
In 2002 Tina healed the world with
her glorious Twin Towers Tribute , showcasing songs such as 'Stranger
on the Stairwell' and 'Penta-Gone', in 2003 year she got
personal with her hugely successful Lifestyle Guru show, and in
2004 she was Just Doing it for the Love.
